Night game on a clear, cool night attracting 34,555 fans to Cougar Stadium for the rivalry game against the Aggies...the Cougars, behind the kicking of Mark Uselman, scored the first two times and lead at the conclusion of the first quarter, 6-0...the lead was short-lived, however, as the Aggies took over the scoring and the game with three field goals (two in the third quarter) to lead 9-6 going into the final 15 minutes...the game was played by the defensive units, neither offense able to move effectively...the clock ran out without a change in the score, finding the Cougars on the short end of another defensive battle, and resolved to "wait until next year."
